Stand-Up India Scheme for Women & SC/ST Entrepreneurs
Promoting entrepreneurship among women and SC/ST communities for setting up greenfield enterprises.
Closed to new applicants: Closed to new sanctions after 31 March 2025. A revamped scheme with term loans of up to ₹2 Crore for first-time women and SC/ST entrepreneurs has been announced and is awaiting launch.
Key benefits
- Bank branch mandate to finance at least one SC/ST and one Woman borrower per bank branch.
- Composite loan covering both term loan and working capital requirement.
- Margin money requirement reduced to up to 15% with convergence of other central/state subsidy programs.
Basic eligibility
- SC/ST and/or woman entrepreneur above 18 years of age.
- For non-individual enterprises, at least 51% of shareholding and controlling stake must be held by SC/ST or woman.
- Applicable only for greenfield (first-time) ventures.
