Encourages MSMEs to adopt Zero Defect Zero Effect manufacturing practices with high quality and eco-friendly standards.
Key benefits
- Subsidy on certification cost: Micro 80%, Small 60%, Medium 50% (additional 10% for women/SC/ST-owned units and units in NER and aspirational districts).
- Some banks offer concessions on processing fees or interest rates for ZED-certified units, at their own discretion.
- Financial support up to ₹5 Lakhs for handholding and consultancy to achieve higher certification levels.
Basic eligibility
- Manufacturing MSMEs registered on Udyam portal.
- Willingness to undertake online pledge, desktop assessment, and on-site audit.
